Pear Butter

Ingredients
  

  • 6 Whole Ripe Pears (Approx. 851g Total Weight)
  • 1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup light Brown Sugar Packed
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Ground Cloves
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 Cup Water

Instructions
 

  • Peel, core and cube pears. Place the prepared pears into a medium sized saucepan.
  • Add the remaining ingredients to the pan with the pears, and stir to combine. Cover with a lid and cook on low, stirring occasionally, until the pears are soft. You should be able to mash them with a fork.
  • Remove the lid and simmer on low until the liquid thickens and begins to caramelize.
  • Remove from heat and let cool.
  • Use a blender to puree the cooked pears into a creamy butter.
  • Store in the refrigerator and serve chilled.
